Complex by nature, exuberant in its expression, this wine is versatile in its pairings.
In addition to being suitable for an aperitif, the gewurztraminer d'Alsace goes classically with part of Alsatian cuisine, its scent going well with certain spicy dishes (foie gras, poultry liver pâté, onion tart , smoked fish, roast goose and Munster) and with Indian and Chinese cuisines (it is one of the only wines to pair with ginger). Late harvest wines are sometimes so powerful that they can be very difficult to pair with food.
